So, allow us to give you our top five (5) reasons for you to check this event out!
1. Meet and Greet
There are programs which will allow you to meet and greet your favorite celebrities like Ruru Madrid and Derrick Monasterio. You can also get a chance to catch the pioneers of the famous street food chains like Reymont Chuachuy of Sam's Everything on Sticks, Marlene and Beejay Burog of Khaleb's Shawarma, Larry Cortez of Super Bagnet, Joey Leonardo of Bulacan Lugaw Kitchen, Gloria Marin of Gloria's Goto, Rica Penalosa of Ate Rica's Bacilog, Lauro Convencido Jr.'s of Mang Larry's Isawan, Jonathan So and Carlo Macandangdang of Sgt. Sisig.
2. Photo Ops
You can also take some photos with street food props courtesy of Lakbay Museo just like what celebrity chef Boy Logro did.
3. Free admission and Prizes
The event is free! Plus, aside from the meet and greet, you can also win some freebies.
4. Affordable Prices
Because it is a collection of Streetfoods, you can expect the pricing to be affordable.
Thus, it's an instant affordable activity for you and your companions.
For as low as 12 php, you can enjoy your favorite street foods.
Just like in the streets, you can see the food being cooked right before you.
You can be assured that the food is hygenic too.
While some of the food are the typical pinoy street foods...
there are also unique ones.
5. Free Tastes and Promos
Who doesn't enjoy free tasting? Be honest.
I loved these healthy snacks called Oh So Healthy Fruit Crisps. I was supposed to buy the Jackfruit, Pineapple and Banana variant but they only had sample stocks. =( I will definitely buy from SM Hypermarket or Kultura whenever I have the chance to.
There are promos and mascotts too.
That sums our Tsinoy Foodies' SM Streetfood Festival 2019 experience and hope you find it interesting enough to check out too!
Mesa opens its 43rd branch in SM Mall of Asia and finally, I get to dine at Mesa for the very first time.
Yes, it's quite ironic that with 43 branches, I only have this chance to dine at Mesa.
So let me share what I've missed all this time.
Food
Appetizer
Tawilis with Mangga on a Spoon (155 php)
I've always loved Tawilis. Although I love it cooked simply in fried form, I couldn't help but appreciate the Tawilis with Mangga on a Spoon.
Salad
♥ Shrimp Tofu Salad (290 php)
Meat and Poultry
Inihaw Sampler (890 php)
Crispchon
♥ One Whole (4,995 php)
We Filipinos love Lechon, and more so for the Crispchon which is a counterpart of the conchinillo. We also appreciate showmanship and this is where Mesa excelled. Look at the extent of preparation they go through just to please their diners. It is served in three ways.
First, is in wraps just like the peking duck. The unique twist is that they use pandan crepes.
Second, tossed in garlic.
Third, tossed in garlic and chili. I liked this better than plain garlic because the spicy kick blended better with the fats and oil.
River Shrimp (Swahe)
♥ On the Rocks (300 php)
A must order at Mesa is the River Shrimps On the Rocks. Aside from the fun cooking experience, the fresh shrimps really tasted sweeter with this method.
Seasonal Products
Sauteed with Olive Oil and Garlic (180 php/100 grams)
Aside from its many selections, Mesa also serves fresh seasonal seafood.
Apahap (Seabass)
♥ Salt Crusted (110 php/100 grams)
The Salt Crusted Apahap is another exquisite dish to try at Mesa. In fact, this is the only the second time I've had a salt crusted fish. I don't think I'll ever get tired of the appreciating the tedious baking process and the serving presentation of this dish.
♥ Salt Crusted (110 php/100 grams)
♥ Salt Crusted (110 php/100 grams)
After that, it is deboned so it's easy to eat like a fillet.
Rice
Tinapa Rice (180 php)
Desserts
♥ Crispy Leche Flan (75 php)
Whenever at home and at the office, everyone would go crazy whenever there is a leche flan. But, I never was that big of a fan. Yet, when I tried the Crispy Leche Flan, I couldn't help myself to have more and more of it. We had to order another one of it because we all felt the same!
Beverages
Tsinoy Foodies Verdict
Mesa certainly offers a one of a kind Filipino dining experience. Its service and performance to impress diners is unlike any other. I am not surprised if it comes up with more branches in the future.

Liao Fan Hawker Chan: World's Cheapest Michelin-Starred Eatery Opens with Singapore Trip Promo (SM MOA)
Happy to be adding my recent Liao Fan Hawker Chan Restaurant dining experience to my Michelin-Starred collection.
We're so lucky that more and more Michelin-starred restaurants are opening here in Manila. Because of that, we get to save a lot from not having to travel. What's more is that, Liao Fan Hawker Chan happens to be the world's cheapest Michelin-Star restaurant where the average price per dish is only 100 to 150 pesos!
I happened to be invited for a preview. As I arrived, the first thing I noticed were these group of men bending down seriously taking photo of what seems to be...
the famous Singapore Soya Sauce Chicken's butt? =p
Food
But, I didn't mind what they were doing because we were served us a Sampler Plate. This is just for the event and not officially on the menu. It allowed us to try three of their offerings and their plain ice which I do not recommend! It is worst than fast food rice.
Go for the noodles, it's way better!
Chef Recommendation
With the Any 3 Combination Platter, you can choose three among their four specialties: Soya Chicken, Char Siew, Pork Ribs and Roasted Pork with Rice.
I'm glad Igot to try the Soya Chicken, Char Siew, and Roasted Pork. But, it made me curious about the Pork Ribs. Nevertheless, I shall share with you my feedback. If I had to choose just one of their specialty, it would definitely be their Soya Chicken. It's so soft and moist that it could easily detach from the bones. It is indeed the best Soya Chicken I've tried yet. Second on my top list is the Roasted Pork. I never imagined pork skin to be as good as they made it. It even beats our local pork skin cracklings. It's light, airy kind crnchy and not oily at oil.
If you're picky with chicken parts, you can order the Whole Chicken so you can even pick the butt part. =D You can also share this with your companions.
Side Dishes
For side dish, I highly recommend Thai Style Tofu.
We had this as a starter dish and we enjoyed it a lot!
Beverages
I'm not sure if our palates are ready for the Roselle Tea. Since I've had this before, it pleasantly tastes like sweet red wine to me. But, my companions didn't like it. Some found it too sweet or preferred soft drinks over it.
Tsinoy Foodies Verdict
Welcome Liao Fan Hawker Chan to the Philippines! I'm sure all the branches you will be opening will be packed with all kinds of diners. I will definitely visit again for the Soya Chicken and to try the Pork Ribs.
Fly to Singapore Promo
I almost forgot to share! Another great reason to try Hawker Chan is because if you dine from July 26 to August 5 2018, you get a chance to be one of two winners that will fly to Singapore and enjoy a 3 days and 2 nights full board and meal stay sponsored by FOODEE Global Concepts Inc. and
